Educational Background
Postdoctoral Studies
Worked closely with PhD and MSc students in a collaborative research environment building robust pipelines to harness the power of Machine Learning models (LLMs) for speeding up the solving of several problems.
Doctorate
Designed novel algorithms for challenging graph-based problems that decompose massive inputs into smaller, manageable subproblems without sacrificing correctness.
Master's in Computer Science
Along with completing several integral courses, I analyzed the well-known problem of Permutation Group Factorization from the lens of Parmeterized Complexity for my Master's thesis.
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
Despite being registered for the Electrical Engineering curriculum, I had a keen interest in Computer Science from the beginning and completed several relevant electives. This was also where my research journey started with my first publication in the area of Computational Social Choice.
About my name
It's not uncommon for people to be puzzled by me name, so here's an explanation. For practical purposes, my first name or given name is 'Vaidyanathan' and my last name or family name is 'Peruvemba Ramaswamy'. However, on paper (and on my passport), I don't have a last name and all three words 'Peruvemba Ramaswamy Vaidyanathan' count towards my given name. 'Peruvemba' is the name of the village I hail from and 'Ramaswamy' is my father's name.
I also go by several nicknames - Aditya, PRV, Vaidy, Nathan ...
